End of January — No Results Yet, But Still Moving

Night of January 30th, the calendar app flips to February. Nothing to mark — no project finished, no number gone up, no message with good news.

A whole month of working, a whole month of trying, and looking back it looks the same as the start. The deadline is still there, the bank balance hasn't moved, the habit you wanted to quit is still around. It feels like running on a treadmill — legs burning, and the scenery never changes.

But there's something the phone screen doesn't show: a seed planted in the ground doesn't sprout the next day. It sits still under the soil, roots reaching down, while the surface above looks exactly the same. Anyone looking from outside just sees dirt — no one sees what's growing underneath.

Close the calendar app. No need to delete anything, no need to write new goals for February. Just let January end this way — no results yet, but not stopped either.
