10pm. Vân is scrolling when an old friend's post lights up the screen — another one with good news. Lately everyone her age seems to be moving forward. She taps a heart, types a genuine "congrats," and quietly sets the phone down.

Moment 1

It's not that she isn't happy for them. She is, and the heart was real. It's just that after she put the phone down, the familiar room went a little quieter. Friends pulling ahead, and here she is still parked at "getting there" — nothing clear to show off yet. But not there yet doesn't mean too late.

Moment 2

The other day a friend got promoted and the group chat lit up. On the outside Vân is exactly the same; no one sees her change. But opening an old notebook and reading lines she wrote months ago, she realizes: compared to who she was back then, she really has grown. Some things grow where no one can see them.

Moment 3

The third wedding invite this year. She pins it to the fridge beside the other two, and smiles. Happy for her friend, and in no rush for herself. The invitations keep coming — but her own timing, she'll let it take its time.

I'm happy for you, truly. I'm not there yet — but I'm not late.

Have you ever felt slower than everyone around you, when really you were still moving?
